Anyway...
I haven't biked to work since October, I think, and I still have not done a bike commute in 2012. I did, however, get on the saddle the other day for a nice little 20 miler. Now that spring is upon us, and I'm seeing more and more cyclists out on the road, I just wanted to share this link that I saw on Twitter last week.
Michael Bluejay's "How Not To Get Hit By Cars" bicyclesafe.com contains a lot of good, practical advice.

Also, I just saw that Bike Snob NYC has a new book out...
I always have a little bit of a hard time commuting in the winter (but you're in San Diego??) - a little easier this last year, since I got a folding bike since it allowed me more flexibility with weather/road conditions.
ReplyDeleteHey, I never said I wasn't lazy. Cold is relative, but it's not so much the temperature as it is the dark. I need to upgrade my lighting situation. It's pretty much after the fall time change that I usually stop riding. This means that today I have one less excuse to pick up the bike commute again.
